my actual name is lindsey wavrek but the last bit has proven awkward for folks to pronounce (it's "WAH-VRECK")so you can just call me Lindsey.
i'm an artist, preprogram art conservator, and an art conservation assistant.
i love the novelty of new media, though drawing has always been my go-to art activity and the place where i tend to begin my creative process. i seem to accrue a lot of materials, so i've been arranging different elements like textile and needlwork with drawing and painting to build aggregate pieces that catch light and change with perspective. assembling all sorts of pictures and objects is my compulsion and my safety blanket. investigating inside and outside worlds helps me to process complex emotions in a mindful and meditative way.
